Whew! Were that not enough tourist activities, Gatlinburg is located
right next to the Sugarlands entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains

waterfalls, wildflowers, bears and other wildlife. In addition,
the National Park Service has also created outdoor museums throughout
the park, such as those found in Cades Cove.

- The entrance of the National Park that is nearest to Cades Cove
is in Townsend, Tennessee. Townsend is about 50 minutes from Gatlinburg,

from Gatlinburg, enter the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and
turn right at Sugarlands Visitors Center. After forty minutes or
so turn right at the "Y." Townsend is a short distance
ahead.
Sevierville

and other amusements. Sevierville is aproximately a fifteen minute
drive from Gatlinburg.
Cosby
- Cosby, Tennessee has a little used entrance to the Great Smoky
Mountains National Park and may be for you if you would like to
avoid the crowds of tourists in Gatlinburg. Cosby is 30-40 minutes
from Gatlinburg.
